Been waiting to do this one.... Thanks to Herb for the pic I borrowed!! Tony's beam is now an inch off the ground When it is fully adjusted to its highest point!! No mercy on the pan huh!!!   Thanks to my bro and Russell's work!! Tony in the front now has a 4inch narrowed beam with shock towers. I went with lowered ball joints, replaced and flipped (only the outer) tie rod ends, Shortened schocks and Russells guy even kept the original pin bearings!! In the rear I went 3 notches down, with GR-2 schocks, Instead of notching the spring plates I removed the stop at the top of the spring plate housing and got rid ot the thud you sometimes hear when this low. A tranny raise, and air schocks are in th future for Tony, but I learned alot in this project!! Always loved lowered bugs!! |
