Okay! Here we go again. Hope I did this one right! As for my motor, They said it was a 1600, but I am not sure if that is correct. I do know that it is a single port. I am not sure where the oil is coming out of. I took it to the carwash and hosed all the oil off, and by the time I got home there was to much oil to see where it came from. You got it! Your '64 looks nice. Are you going to fix the oil problem soon? If not... Just make sure you have oil in that engine at all times. Joe, does the sunroof works properly?

I will spray it down this weekend and see if I can find out where it is leaking. No luck on the sun roof, I don't know what pieces are ther if any at all. I would love to fix it, but it's not high on the priority list yet.

It will be nice if you can get to fix the sunroof as well. Keep us posted on the oil lick Joe.

Oil cooler IN the fan shroud ?Is the oil all over the OUTSIDE or the UNDERSIDE ? I have had an oil leak that drove ME carzy for MONTHS !! It was the little seals from the oil cooler and it seaped out near the carburator and down to the underside of the motor. I also had push rod tube leakage...you can imagine MY drip pan in the driveway...EVERYONE is here to help bro. There is a LOT of EXPERIENCE on the FORUMS !

Okay, I just sprayed the motor again. BOy is she pretty when she is clean! I started it up and watched, revved it up some nothing, drove around the block a couple of times, nothing. Took it on the freeway, smoke started to come inside the car??? not sure wher that was coming from. When I looked under the hood, I can tell that the oil is hitting the fan belt and splattering up. the underside of the altenator was covered with oil as well as the underside of the manifold. While the motor was off, I noticed a large amount of oil behind the crankshaft pulley. I am not sure if it is leaking from there or if the oil is leaking down onto it. I did find something very interesting though. There is a wad of JB weld near the base of the fuel pump which I am sure was leaking before I got it. I am hoping that this is the problem.
