The Thing is running and driving. This past weekend I installed new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and hard ware. I also replaced the fender that was lost when the tire blew out on the I-10 bridge between BR and Lafayette. I actually took a drive around the neighborhood in Long Beach and took it to breakfast the next day. The engine is awesome. Ready to install fender:  Fender installed, no welting yet but it is street legal again:  I tore down the front brakes to replace the wheel cylinders and discovered broken hardware and messed up shoes.   New shoes and cylinders:  "G" |

Installed my new deck lid after giving it a quick shot of Appliance White.  Installed a new Billet Pulley to keep my belt tight:  Went to the car show in Acton, CA and hung out with our Antelope Valley Aircooler Brothers  "G" |

A few of our friends made it to that show. Are you going to the Treffen tomorrow (9-11)?
BTW, The decklid looks great on that Thing!

I couldn't make the Treffen. I was already back home in Louisiana. I had a great time at the show, there was two very awesome Things there that easily out shown mine. I was just itching to bring it out to a show again even though it isn't nearly ready.
