thanks frank! i do have a pic of the engine but what I don't have is a full interior shot. i'll post the full interior shot once i have a decent photo of it. i'll upload the engine shot now...

Well.....shut my mouth....You already posted pics of yer bucket....My Ruby is all "patina" and I DREAM of a REAL paint job ! Ruby will get a RUBY paint job when the day comes , but I REALLY want a white bug ! PEARL !

They look awesome how was that project any pics?!?! thanks sergio...the feeling is mutual, happy to see you and tony again. yeah, it took quite some time for me to have it installed. i was thinking if I would just buy the ready made empi (taiwan) panel & have it painted or fabricate a panel from zero. i gave up on fabricating from scratch...i guess i'm not that talented when it comes to metal works! hahaha sadly, i didn't document this project...i was just so excited to get it done and over with. ;D |

PEARL ! was overly zealous to post pics of my bug here at strictly air vw's...  you've got a very nice project car there! i could already imagine it in ruby red. can't wait for you to finish this one... so, you really want a white bug, cool! white is a very simple but elegant color. the only downside is that dust and dirt really stands out.  |

My CHOICE is white...Ruby was a great deal so the color didn't matter. My original plan was to completely restore her to factory specs and get ANOTHER bug to customize with the pearl paint, big motor, etc. Then the economy hit the floor and those plans ate dirt ! I still have ALL the original parts..motor/trans/6volt etc...maybe I can win the lotto !

I don't "drink' any more...I never "smoked"...I don't bet on the ponies... I'm SO boring ! So I figure I'd take a chance on the lotto once in a while...THAT won't ruin my liver or give me cancer...not a bad deal for $2... Meanwhile, I just keep adding to my VW "accessories" and keep my hopes up...

geez, it's like hearing myself talking...i'm also NOT into alcoholic drinks, don't smoke and don't gamble. i'd rather spend my money on more important things than those above mentioned. i guess it's pretty obvious that i'm also into v.w. parts "hunting"...just look at my sig picture! when it comes to lotto, i have a basis before betting. at the least the prize money is $2,000,000.00. below $2Million? i don't bet.

Not the wheel. thanks kenny...my wheel is made by a company from Oregon named Performance Industries. little is known about the company and their products. i don't even know the name of this kind of wheels...so i just call it by the company's name. those Empi pieces you're referring to are the vent wing locks. |
