Hi everyone. I'm a newbie from Southern California. I have a Meyers Manx, not sure of the year, but when I redid the brakes I needed pre-1960 parts. My wife and I bought our "Dune Bee" a couple years ago with the intention of riding the existing old engine till it gave out. It is just a little engine, I think its a 1100, with not much power so I'm excited to upgrade. I've never done something like this so I am nervous, but excited to learn. I'd like to put in a 1776cc, stock engine. Is this reasonable? Can I keep my existing transmission and transfer case? Sorry in advance for any ignorance I may have already displayed , but any advice is extremely appreciated. Here's some pics of my toy. Sorry, I don't know how to embed pictures. www.flickr.com/photos/garrigusrealestate/8532665770/www.flickr.com/photos/garrigusrealestate/8532665662/

Welcome to the forum! That's a really nice looking ride you have there! I know you say you want to upgrade to a 1776cc but we don't know if you have a splitcase transmission since you had a 1100cc motor on it. If yo do have a splitcase tranny then you have to change it so you can install a 1776cc engine on it. You have to find out what type of tranny you have there. Take pictures of it and post them here. maybe we can be able to identify it and tell you what you got. Welcome again and hope we can help you out!! Frank
