Hey veedubcrazy, are you going to the 18th Annual Monumental Bug Bash this weekend? If so are you taking pictures? It looks like is going to be a lot of fun. We love to see how you guys do it over there in Texas. Can we post them on our photo gallery? By the way, Nice backround picture!

Hey gang, it was a great time. I remember looking at my watch at 10:30am and had 80 registrants in. Now, we opened the gates for the staff to set up at 8am. Somehow it leaked out and we had folks waiting on us!!! Oh well... Whatcha gonna do? Turn 'em away???
Weather was good as it got 85 degrees tops with no rain. Great day...
Okay, lessons learned for the show and take these for suggestions for ya'lls.
1. Have a back-up plan for bigger than expected crowds that need parking spaces. Possibly double and triple row.
2. Bigger PA system. Possibly a wire-free for remote speakers.
3. Schedule of events inside registration packets. That way, people know when certain events will be in case they can't hear the PA system.
4. Activities for the kids. i.e. Twinkie eating contest, valve cover racing or coloring contest. Give them something to do.
5. Incorporate a cruise prior to the show and have raffle prizes at the end for them.
6. Stay on time.
Just a little insight from what we may need to do for next year...
Dave
