HOLY CRAP ! Last night I got my new trans installed and took it to Carson...75 fuckin miles an hour !!! For a "stock" guy and a cruiser...THIS is DIFFERENT ! Now I have the new motor AND trans and I'm like a MAD MAN lookin for ANY excuse to HIT THE ROAD !

You went for the performance Tranny / motor and I'm going the other way, the split case tranny / 36hp motor. ;D

ONLY because I drive her DAILY bro..I still have the ORIGINAL and as soon as I win the lotto...she'll get TOTALLY restored back to 6volt and all ! I figured that I'd buy ANOTHER bug and have a new motor and trans to put in the new bug...I'm NOT admitting to owning ANOTHER bug so don't go getting excited...

Well.. I totally BROKE my trans by towin that teardrop trailer all over hells half acre! Had to have it rebuilt!
Now I'm NOT gonna stop towin the trailer... matter of fact, Imma tow it even MORE now !
Got BIG plans to go to Arizona a couple a times and maybe even to a teardrop camp out in the Redwoods this summer !
I'll jus be vigilent with drainin the gear oil in the trans on a regular basis to keep it lubed and not lose any viscosity..

Now that I remodeled it, it is MORE campable and more comfortable as well ! I've slept in it in my driveway more than a few times since I modified it.
Now I'm chompin at the bit to actually go CAMPIN in it !
