This is Sunkist!!

I like to introduce you to the next VW in our family.. This is my brother Larry but everyone calls him Chops, I gave him the nickname when we were little but that's a story for the "Funny stories section" LOL!!



This is his new project a 71 Sedan we have affectionately named "Sunkist" mostly cause its orange!!





I could have done a better job with this thread but I figured I'd start now before it gets away from me!! I know that in this forum it's "Pictures or it didn't happen"!! As you can tell we like the later model VW's probably cause honestly those were the only one's we could afford growing up!! We were teenagers in the early 90's, I graduated in 96 and remember back then VW's were given away!! You could get a sedan for like 4 or 5 hundred and a Super man they had FREE signs on them!! LOL

Chops hustled this one from a driveway in Bell, he traded an 89 Chevy S10 for it. It had been parked for so long the first thing he decided to do was go through the drive train. So he started with the tranny!! Out it came and was given over to be rebuilt and modified.
We got it back and here is the first of many projects... The tranny went it!!





















This is mom's she likes coming out to my brothers house when we work on the bug. Her name is Carmen.

and the Engine is IN!!!! Wait no, The Engine is coming out!! Chops has decided to run Kadrons!! We will also be making the 1600 cc into a 1641cc and run the process on this thread. We'll keep you posted and... HAHA Chops I beat you to your own thread!! Don't snitch to moms!! LOL

"Animo" is a Spanish word for somthing like "Encouragement" or "Moral Support". I bet one of this guys can tell you exactly what it is.

Agreed Agreed that was a good one!! Manana =not Today!! HAHA!! Yea "animo" is positive encouragement, wich we get a lot in this forum!! Sometimes when you dont feal like working on your rojects you need "Animo" from your friends to get to it!!

what up fellas its chopps I fanally got in. Sunkist is sick still, im losing oil through a piston and am afraid of running it that way but soon enough I will be able to roll up to the meets with sunkist instead of pulling up in my truck and parking a mile away. thanks for all the moral support or animo. Ill keep you guys updated on our status. Sretal
