I saw some three legged engine roller / stands to set your engine on that sell for about $50 each. I figured that was too much for a tripod. I wanted something a bit more stable and that I could use on top of my work bench or on the floor to store my engine. I came up with this design. I built it so I could remove or install the tin while the engine is on the stand.

Painted. I could powder coat them I guess. I have been building them for a while. VW sold a stand to dealers that supported the engine with steel bars between the fins. Mine follows that design a bit.

Those come in handy all the time. Do you still build them? Do you sell them? How much?

Yes I do build them and yes they are for sale, $35 without casters. You can get the casters of your choice at Home Depot or Lowes. I recommend the casters with steel wheels 1" or 1 1/2" diameter. Send me a PM if anyone wants one. I'll have to check on the postage to CA.

I have looked into shipping them and I can adjust the design a bit to make it fit in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. The shipping would be $12.00 anywhere in the USA.
Frank; if you want to move this post to the Classified Section please do. I didn't mean to post a for sale ad on the general board.

I haven't forgot about the stands.
I have been tied up with other problems at home. Between work a new grand child and now my Excursion needs new ball joints and tie rod ends I have been very busy.
As soon as I have some ready I will let everyone know.
Thanks, Gary
