ok guys  it's just how did u get it or idk.... i tell u my story.. '' about 5 or 6 years when i wanted to buy a car:$ i was stubborn with a honda:$ a civic or a 240sx nissan...but idk, i get like giuuu when my dad came home with the vw, at the beggining, i feel like idk, it didn't like me XD but then:$ tsss.. How much did you pay for it? I got my first VW in High School, it was given to me from a guy I worked for. I was sooo emberassed by it!! I used to park it 5 blocks away at the Lucky"s grocery store and walk to school. I couldnt wait to sell it and buy another car!! I did and gave the bug to my brother!! Years went by and I never forgot my bug!! I was bitten by the "BUG" so 14 years later I went out and got another 1968 VW, I love the little guy "TONY" and he is a keeper!!

Back in the early 80s I inherited a 64 Ruby Red Bug from the 2nd owner...ALL original,6volt and all. Had a BLAST in it and really loved that little car. Lost it in the first divorce...Finally bougt my NEW Ruby 3 years ago and I'm HOOKED for life !!

Since I can remember, I always like the bugs. Always dream of getting one and drive it all over town. Then, I was in High School and I was working part time. I save up enough money to buy myself a Bug. A friend of mine told me that one of his friends father had one for sale and that he was asking for $1,400. That was back in the early/mid 80's. I went to see the bug and i like it I told the guys that if he takes $1000 for it but that I only had $600 with me and that I was going to give him the rest of the money in a month. He said that we had a deal!!  I drove it home and on the way home the tranny was acting up and I had to tow it home. I contact the guy and told him about it and he said that he thought that he fixed that already that's way he didn't say anything about it. Another thing I told him was that the key didn't fit the door handle and I couldn't lock it. He told me to forget about the $400 and for me to take care of those problems. The tranny issue was just the shifter that wasn't installed properly and about the handle I bought a used one with a key for $25. I end up paying for my first bug $600 plus $25 for the keyed door handle. Here is a picture of my first bug. It was a 1958 euro bug!   |

When I was 15 I saw a 1967 sitting in my neighbors garage. To me then, it looked clean. It was Black, had an old school pull out Alpine, 12inch Subs, burgandy interior, and polished empi 8 spokes. I talked to my neighbor and he told me he would sell it to me for $1500. I got a job at a video store then bought it in 1996. That is the year when I met Ismael, he was working at this VW Shop. He still till this day cracks jokes at me because I had SR 135 tires all around my car. I was a kid, i didnt know. I miss that VW, it was my love machine, I took out all the lil mamsitas in that car. ever since then I owned and sold about 3 VW's. I even sold one to Ismaels brother Jeremy, i think it was the 65 or 64 red hoodride. Now I have my Avocado 59 Rag, Plan on keeping it forever till I have a son, then passing it on.
