As y'all know.. "I" tow my teardrop trailer with my beloved 1965 Bug (Ruby )
WE have been all over California,Nevada,Arizona, and parts in between !
Now the trans is a wreck ! ALL the bearings have "failed".
Does anybody have any bright ideas bout trans "fluids" that would better protect them bearings ?
I do plan to change the fluid on a regular basis from now on to insure that it is gettin plenty of LUBE !

LITHIUM OR PETF know as Teflon Lucas make a fine trans additive that keeps gear oil clinging to the gears duralube is fine for high heat and load i hot dip my bearings in heated lithium grease !  |

I think Imma try the lucas... and change the oil/fluid on a regular basis ! Gotta keep them bearings lubed !

Dropped in 3 qts of Lucas 80/90...will change it in June so it's fresh fer the summer months.

Sorry to say... no, I did NOT git it back.. Prolly not till Friday now... SHIT HAPPENS !
Y'all will know when I have her back... I'll be drivin her all over hells half acre ! Gotta go git the trailer weighed soon as I put the hitch back on.. Then, Friday I leave fer Parker,Az. !!! ( 02Dec )

Even better to have all my campin gear "stowed" where it belongs ! No more suitcase full of clothes to throw around inside the trailer.. no more rubbermaid tubs full of kitchenware inside the trailer...I got SO much storage in there now ! A place fer everythang and everythang IN its place ! And the trailer only gained 35 lbs !! PRICELESS !
